Initially we thought it was an April Fool’s joke, but apparently Nigo has stepped down as president and director of A Bathing Ape. His camouflage hoodies and colorful sneakers have developed a cult following and made guys everywhere fiends. But before the depression sets in, he will still remain as a majority owner of A Bathing Ape’s parent company, Nowhere Co., Ltd. Nigo will also continue as a designer for his 15 year old company, as well as maintain his partnership as head designer and co-owner of BBC/Ice Cream with singer/producer Pharrell Williams. Whew!
